Grad Students Spoke at Annual Meeting

The 2024 Annual Meeting of the BSUVA took place at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, March 22, in the auditorium of the Harrison Institute / Small Special Collections Library.

The program featured talks by three students in the Ph.D. program in the English Department.

The speakers and their subjects were:

SPENCER GRAYSON, “Reading Annotations for Queer Intimacy in the 16th and 18th Centuries”

REGAN SCHADL, “ John Clare’s 1821 in Poetry and Paper: Watermark Twins and Orientation” 

HYEONA PARK, “Wrestling with Slavery in Typescripts of Willa Cather’s Sapphira and the Slave Girl

The Society’s meeting was part of the Virginia Festival of the Book.
